BPPA has been very active in the past few years:

  • Working with Efficiency Vermont to promote improvements and better incentives for Efficiency Vermont programs and affiliated contractors
  • Revamping and reopening the Zero Energy Now Program
  • Working with partner groups to promote Vermont’s Energy Code and a Contractor Registry
  • Engaging with the Public Service Department to promote clean energy and weatherization
  • Promoting the Home Energy Score as a way to build broad awareness of energy use and the benefits of weatherization among homeowners and home buyers
  • Lobbying legislative leaders and committees on behalf of Home Performance and Building Performance programs and Contractors

And much more for BPPA to focus on in the years ahead…

  • Governor Scott’s proposed 25 million dollar funding enhancement for weatherization!
  • Expanded Zero Energy Now opportunities!
  • Strengthening statewide workforce development for the home performance and weatherization industry.
  • A narrowing of the gap between now and the looming deadline of our 2050 climate goals!

Not to mention serving our own trade and industry!

  • What about benefits of membership?
  • What about building and supporting our own businesses?
  • What about working together to promote our industry
    • In the state house
    • In the media
    • With utilities
    • With like-minded organizations – in Vermont and elsewhere?

We need interested members to get involved!!!

Again! Please join us!

– whether you are currently a member, or not!
