PASSIVE HOUSE
SYMPOSIUM 2013

High Performance Buildings
a Passive House Approach

Keynote Speaker
Rep. Margaret Cheney
Vice Chair of the VT House Committee
on Natural Resources & Energy

Conference for building performance professionals, architects, engineers, developers, contractors and others interested in energy efficient building and in learning more about the most efficient building standard in the world.

We are holding the Symposium in association with the Building Performance Professionals Association of Vermont (BPPA) and with the generous help of the Green Building program at Vermont Tech.

In addition to four sessions with presentations there will be exhibitors in the hall showing Passive House products and services.

The target audience for the Symposium are building professionals (architects, builders, consultants and contractors) who are interested in or already involved in some form of energy efficient building but are not yet building to the highest energy efficient standard in the world. We are seeking to educate and spread the word about the Passive House Building Standard to the larger green building community in Vermont.

Learn about

  • The Passive House Standard.
  • How this standard is developing in Vermont.
  • What the challenges are to building super energy efficient homes in Climate Zone 6 (Cold and Humid).
  • How the Passive House community in Vermont is meeting those challenges.
